"The people of Sylt have joined forces and created an alternative to the Hindenburgdamm. The world's first "Catapult Air" shoots guests, commuters and islanders to Sylt in just 2 minutes! You don't believe it? Of course it's a joke.
What is not a joke: 22 km of the line from Niebüll to Sylt has been single-track since 1927. A train crosses this bottleneck every 5 to 10 minutes.
No wonder that even the smallest disruption can lead to extensive delays.
